What is System Engineering?

Systems engineering in the military field refers to the application of systems engineering principles and practices to design, develop, implement, and maintain complex systems in military contexts. These systems can include communication systems, information networks, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, and other technologically advanced designs intended to enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and safety of military operations

HORIADEFENSE was created in 2022 but accumulates 35 years of experience in the development of critical military equipment.

The name HORIA means yellow color in Baske language and yellow is normally the color of prototypes and testing vehicles.

Then, the name HORIA explains what is our main subject, the definition of concepts and the development of feasible solutions to convert the initial idea in real engineering and operational machinery. Our field of application is on military platform vehicles and its related systems.

Main expertise is in marine surface and underwater platforms, but the same common system engineering principals and process have been applied to the development of aerospace and land vehicle platforms and its related systems. We collaborate with specialized software companies and military-related professionals such as naval architects, designers, mechanical, electrical and electronic engineers and manufacturing experts.
